Why'd they suddenly decide to enforce(or create) this no unofficial chat GUIs? My players won't have any way of communicating privately to their allies now..

I don't think there is any real glitch about chat GUIs. What makes a GUI a chat GUI? They probably don't like it because people can get past the filters this way.
